Aisha was lost for years. Then she found a 2 am course on tawhid. تاهت عائشة سنين. ثمّ وجدت درسًا في التوحيد عند الثانية صباحًا.

She had stopped praying. She had started reading philosophy. She had a question about Allah she didn’t think she could ask anyone. Then, at two o’clock one Manila morning, she sat in on a live class with Shaykh Faraz Rabbani — and somebody else’s question, in the live chat, was almost word-for-word her own. كانت قد تركت الصلاة، وبدأت تقرأ الفلسفة، وفي قلبها سؤالٌ عن الله ظنّت أنّها لا تستطيع أن تطرحه على أحد. ثمّ، في الثانية من صباح مانيلا، حضرت درسًا مباشرًا مع الشيخ فراز الرباني — فإذا سؤالُ شخصٍ آخر، في المحادثة المباشرة، هو سؤالها هي، حرفًا بحرفٍ تقريبًا.

That was three terms ago. Aisha now leads a small study circle in her own home for four women in her neighbourhood — using the academy’s Arabic-for-Beginners course as the spine. كان ذلك قبل ثلاثة فصول. وعائشةُ الآن تقود حلقةً صغيرةً في بيتها لأربع نساءٍ من جيرتها — تجعل دورة العربيّة-للمبتدئين عمودًا لها.
