Who we are, and what you agree to. من نحن، وبماذا توافق.

SeekersGuidance — The Global Islamic Seminary — is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, founded in 2008. We offer courses, answers, books, and podcasts, taught by qualified scholars, free of charge, to seekers everywhere. سيكرز إرشاد — المعهد الإسلاميّ العالميّ — منظّمةٌ غير ربحيّةٍ مسجّلة، تأسّست سنة ٢٠٠٨. نقدّم دوراتٍ وأجوبةً وكتبًا وبودكاست، يُعلّمها علماء مؤهَّلون، مجّانًا، لطلّاب العلم في كلّ مكان.

These terms are the agreement between you and SeekersGuidance. By using the site, opening an account, asking a question, enrolling in a course, or giving a gift, you accept them. They travel with our privacy policy, which tells you what little we keep. If anything here is unclear, write to us before you continue; we answer. هذه الشروط هي الاتفاق بينك وبين سيكرز إرشاد. وباستعمالك الموقعَ، أو فتحِك حسابًا، أو طرحِك سؤالًا، أو تسجيلِك في دورة، أو تقديمِك هبةً، فأنت تقبلها. وهي ترافق سياسةَ الخصوصيّة التي تُخبرك بالقليل الذي نحفظه. وإن أشكل عليك شيءٌ منها، فاكتب إلينا قبل أن تمضي؛ فنحن نُجيب.

Everything the scholars teach is free. كلُّ ما يُعلّمه العلماء مجّانيّ.

Every course, every answer, every book, and every podcast on this site is free, and will remain free. We will never put a scholar’s teaching behind a paywall, and we will never make a donation a condition of learning. كلُّ دورةٍ وجوابٍ وكتابٍ وبودكاست على هذا الموقع مجّانيّ، وسيبقى مجّانيًّا. لن نضع تعليمَ عالِمٍ خلف بوّابة دفعٍ أبدًا، ولن نجعل التبرّعَ شرطًا للتعلّم.

The seminary is sustained by those who choose to give. Generosity keeps the door open — but the door is open either way. يقوم المعهدُ بمن يختار العطاء. فالكرمُ يُبقي البابَ مفتوحًا — لكنّ البابَ مفتوحٌ على كلّ حال.

One seeker, one account. طالبٌ واحد، حسابٌ واحد.

You do not need an account to read or listen. You need one to enrol, to keep your place in a lesson, or to ask a question privately. One sign-in carries you through the whole seminary — the site and the classroom are a single door. لا تحتاج حسابًا لتقرأ أو تستمع. وتحتاجه لتسجّل في دورة، أو تحفظ موضعك في درس، أو تسأل سؤالًا خاصًّا. تسجيلُ دخولٍ واحدٌ يحملك عبر المعهد كلّه — فالموقع والصفُّ بابٌ واحد.

We ask three things of your account. Give us accurate information — a real name and a working email, so your records of study are truly yours. Hold one account only: your enrolments, progress, and completion records belong to a single identity, and a second account splits them. And keep your sign-in to yourself; if you believe someone else has used it, tell us and we will help you secure it. نسألك في حسابك ثلاثةَ أشياء. أعطنا معلوماتٍ صحيحة — اسمًا حقيقيًّا وبريدًا يعمل، لتكون سجلّاتُ دراستك لك حقًّا. واحتفظ بحسابٍ واحدٍ فقط: فتسجيلاتُك وتقدّمُك وسجلّاتُ إتمامك تخصّ هويّةً واحدة، والحسابُ الثاني يُشتّتها. واحفظ بياناتِ دخولك لنفسك؛ فإن ظننتَ أنّ غيرك استعملها، فأخبرنا نُعِنْك على تأمينها.

Younger seekers are welcome here, in their parents’ company: a seeker under thirteen studies through a parent or guardian’s account until our youth enrolment terms are published. طلّابُ العلم الصغار محلُّ ترحيبٍ هنا، في صحبة أهليهم: فمن دون الثالثةَ عشرةَ يدرس عبر حساب وليّ أمره، إلى أن تُنشر شروطُ تسجيل الناشئة.

If you join our newsletter, every email carries a working unsubscribe link, and leaving the list never touches your account. Deleting the account itself works as the privacy policy describes — one step, real, and permanent. وإن انضممتَ إلى نشرتنا البريديّة، ففي كلّ رسالةٍ رابطُ إلغاءٍ يعمل، ومغادرةُ القائمة لا تمسّ حسابك. وأمّا حذفُ الحساب نفسِه فيجري كما تصفه سياسةُ الخصوصيّة — بخطوةٍ واحدة، حذفًا حقيقيًّا دائمًا.

How we treat one another here. كيف نتعامل هنا.

Scholars, staff, and fellow seekers meet here in study. We ask of everyone the right conduct (adab) the tradition asks of any gathering of knowledge — and the Quran’s own standard for how believers speak of one another [Quran 49:11-12]. In practice, that means a few firm lines. يلتقي هنا العلماءُ والعاملون وطلّابُ العلم على الدرس. ونطلب من الجميع الأدبَ الذي يطلبه هذا التقليدُ من كلّ مجلس علم — ومعيارَ القرآن في كلام المؤمنين بعضِهم عن بعض [القرآن الكريم، الحجرات ٤٩:١١–١٢]. وذلك عمليًّا حدودٌ ثابتةٌ قليلة.

• No abuse. لا إساءة.

  Do not harass, demean, or threaten anyone — scholar, student, or staff. Firm disagreement is welcome in study; contempt is not. لا تتحرّش بأحدٍ ولا تُهنه ولا تهدّده — عالِمًا كان أو طالبًا أو عاملًا. الاختلافُ الجادّ في الدرس مرحَّبٌ به؛ وأمّا الازدراء فلا.

• No impersonation. لا انتحال.

  Do not pass yourself off as another person — a scholar above all. Knowledge in this tradition is carried by named, accountable people; a borrowed name breaks the chain. لا تنتحل شخصيّةَ غيرك — وعالِمًا فوق كلّ أحد. فالعلم في هذا التقليد يحمله أناسٌ مُسمَّون مسؤولون؛ والاسمُ المستعار يقطع السلسلة.

• No scraping at scale. لا حصادَ آليًّا.

  Do not bulk-harvest the site’s content or its members’ words by automated means. Sharing is how this knowledge travels — section seven tells you how generous the gift is — but the archive is not raw material for repackaging. لا تجمع محتوى الموقع أو كلامَ أهله جمعًا آليًّا واسعًا. فالمشاركة هي سبيلُ هذا العلم إلى الناس — والقسمُ السابع يُبيّن سعةَ الهديّة — لكنّ الأرشيف ليس مادّةً خامًا لإعادة التغليف.

• No misuse of the Ask service. لا إساءةَ استعمالٍ لخدمة الأسئلة.

  The Ask service exists for sincere questions. Do not flood it, bait with it, or use it to expose or harm a third person. وُجدت خدمةُ الأسئلة للسؤال الصادق. فلا تُغرقها، ولا تستفزّ بها، ولا تستعملها لفضح طرفٍ ثالثٍ أو الإضرار به.

We may suspend or close an account that crosses these lines. We will tell you why, and how to respond, unless someone’s safety requires otherwise. وقد نُعلّق أو نُغلق حسابًا تجاوز هذه الحدود. ونُخبرك بالسبب وبكيفيّة الردّ، إلا أن تقتضي سلامةُ أحدٍ غيرَ ذلك.

When you ask a question. حين تطرح سؤالًا.

Many questions arrive carrying real weight — a marriage, a debt, a fear about one’s faith. We read them that way. كثيرٌ من الأسئلة يصل حاملًا ثقلًا حقيقيًّا — زواجًا، أو دَينًا، أو خوفًا على الإيمان. ونحن نقرؤها كذلك.

Questions submitted to the Ask service may be answered publicly, in anonymized form, so that one seeker’s question can serve thousands. Before publishing, we remove names and identifying details, and we may edit for clarity and length. If your situation must stay private, say so when you ask, or use Ask a Scholar privately; private questions are never published. الأسئلة المقدَّمة إلى خدمة الأسئلة قد يُجاب عنها علنًا، بصيغةٍ مُجهَّلةِ المصدر، ليخدم سؤالُ طالبٍ واحدٍ آلافًا. نحذف قبل النشر الأسماءَ والتفاصيلَ الدالّة، وقد نُحرّر للوضوح والطول. فإن وجب أن يبقى أمرُك خاصًّا، فقُل ذلك عند السؤال، أو استعمل خدمةَ السؤال الخاصّ؛ فالأسئلة الخاصّة لا تُنشر أبدًا.

An answer here is religious guidance, given in good faith by a qualified scholar. It is a beginning, not an emergency service. If you are in danger, or facing a medical, legal, or psychiatric crisis, turn first to your local emergency services and the qualified people near you; the scholars’ counsel will still be here when you are safe. الجوابُ هنا إرشادٌ دينيٌّ يبذله عالِمٌ مؤهَّلٌ بحسن نيّة. وهو بدايةٌ، لا خدمةَ طوارئ. فإن كنتَ في خطر، أو في أزمةٍ طبّيّةٍ أو قانونيّةٍ أو نفسيّة، فالجأ أوّلًا إلى طوارئ بلدك وأهلِ الاختصاص قربك؛ وستجد نُصحَ العلماء باقيًا هنا حين تسلَم.

Your words remain yours. كلماتُك تبقى لك.

When you write in a course forum or anywhere else on the service, you keep ownership of your words. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and share them within the service, so that a class can function — nothing more. We do not sell user content, and we do not claim it as our own. حين تكتب في منتدى دورةٍ أو في أيّ موضعٍ آخر من الخدمة، تبقى ملكيّةُ كلماتك لك. وتمنحنا رخصةً غيرَ حصريّة، عالميّةً، بلا مقابل، لاستضافتها وعرضها ومشاركتها داخل الخدمة، ليقوم الصفُّ بعمله — لا أكثر. لا نبيع محتوى المستخدمين، ولا ندّعيه لأنفسنا.

Questions submitted to the Ask service carry one further permission, described above: they may be edited, anonymized, and published as part of an answer. وللأسئلة المقدَّمة إلى خدمة الأسئلة إذنٌ آخر سبق بيانُه: فقد تُحرَّر وتُجهَّل وتُنشَر ضمن جواب.

If something of yours should come down, or something posted by another person wrongs you, write to legal@seekersguidance.org and we will look at it promptly. We may remove content that breaks these terms; where we can, we tell the writer why. وإن وجب إنزالُ شيءٍ لك، أو أصابك ظلمٌ من منشورِ غيرك، فاكتب إلى legal@seekersguidance.org وننظر فيه سريعًا. وقد نحذف ما يخالف هذه الشروط؛ ونُخبر كاتبَه بالسبب ما استطعنا.

Free to share, not to resell. مجّانيٌّ للمشاركة، لا لإعادة البيع.

Everything the scholars publish here is given freely, and we want it to travel. Read it, quote it, and share it wherever it will benefit — with attribution to the scholar and a link back to the source. كلُّ ما ينشره العلماء هنا مبذولٌ مجّانًا، ونحبّ له أن ينتشر. فاقرأه، واقتبس منه، وشاركه حيث ينفع — مع نسبته إلى العالِم ورابطٍ إلى مصدره.

What the gift does not include: republishing the archive at scale, claiming our scholars’ work as your own, stripping attribution, or selling what was given free. And some works here carry other owners’ rights — Quran translations, classical texts, licensed recordings; our gift cannot override theirs. وما لا تشمله الهديّة: إعادةُ نشر الأرشيف على نطاقٍ واسع، أو ادّعاءُ عملِ علمائنا، أو نزعُ النسبة، أو بيعُ ما بُذل مجّانًا. وبعضُ ما هنا يحمل حقوقَ أصحابٍ آخرين — ترجماتُ القرآن، والنصوصُ الكلاسيكيّة، والتسجيلاتُ المرخَّصة؛ وهديّتُنا لا تعلو على حقّهم.

The SeekersGuidance name, wordmarks, and logos identify this institution. Please do not use them in ways that suggest an endorsement we have not given. واسمُ سيكرز إرشاد وشعاراتُه وعلاماتُه تُعرّف بهذه المؤسّسة. فنرجو ألّا تُستعمل على وجهٍ يوحي بتزكيةٍ لم نمنحها.

Donations, and the Zakat trust. الهبات، وأمانة الزكاة.

Donations are processed securely by our payment provider; we never see or store your full card number. As a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit we issue receipts for your records; whether a gift is deductible depends on the tax laws where you live. تُعالَج التبرّعات بأمانٍ عبر مزوّد الدفع؛ ولا نرى رقمَ بطاقتك الكامل ولا نحفظه. وبوصفنا منظّمةً غير ربحيّةٍ مسجّلة نُصدر إيصالاتٍ لسجلّاتك؛ وأمّا خصمُ الهبة من الضريبة فيتبع قوانينَ بلدك.

Recurring gifts are yours to stop at any time — one request, no winding maze, no guilt. And if a gift was a mistake, a wrong amount, a duplicate, or a card used without leave, write to donations@seekersguidance.org and we will make it right. والهباتُ المتكرّرة لك إيقافُها متى شئت — بطلبٍ واحد، بلا متاهةٍ ولا تأنيب. وإن كانت هبةٌ خطأً، أو مبلغًا غيرَ مقصود، أو تكرارًا، أو بطاقةً استُعملت بغير إذن، فاكتب إلى donations@seekersguidance.org ونُصلح الأمر.

Zakat is different in kind: a trust (amana), not a donation. Zakat given here is designated to the Islamic Scholars Fund, held in a separate, dedicated account, and never mingled with general funds. The full terms of that trust are on the Zakat page. والزكاةُ مختلفةٌ في جوهرها: أمانةٌ لا تبرُّع. فالزكاة هنا تُخصَّص لصندوق العلماء، وتُحفَظ في حسابٍ مستقلٍّ مخصَّص، ولا تُخلَط بالأموال العامّة أبدًا. وشروطُ تلك الأمانة كاملةً في صفحة الزكاة.

Enrolment, records, and certificates. التسجيل والسجلّات والشهادات.

Enrolment is free and open. Seats in live courses may be limited; if you reserve one and your plans change, release it so another seeker can sit. التسجيلُ مجّانيٌّ ومفتوح. وقد تكون مقاعدُ الدورات الحيّة محدودة؛ فإن حجزتَ مقعدًا وتغيّرت خطّتك، فأخْلِه ليجلس فيه طالبٌ آخر.

Courses run on the academic calendar, and like any seminary we sometimes reschedule, revise, or retire one. Where we can, we tell enrolled students ahead of time. تجري الدورات على التقويم الدراسيّ، وقد نُعيد جدولةَ دورةٍ أو نراجعها أو نوقفها كما يفعل كلُّ معهد. ونُخبر المسجَّلين مسبقًا ما استطعنا.

Certificates and completion records attest that you studied a course with us and met its requirements. They are records of study, not government-accredited degrees or professional qualifications, unless a program’s page expressly states otherwise. Anyone can confirm a certificate on our verification page. الشهاداتُ وسجلّاتُ الإتمام تشهد أنّك درستَ دورةً عندنا وأتممتَ متطلّباتها. وهي سجلّاتُ دراسة، لا شهاداتٌ معتمَدةٌ حكوميًّا ولا مؤهّلاتٌ مهنيّة، إلا أن تنصّ صفحةُ برنامجٍ على غير ذلك صراحةً. ويمكن لأيّ أحدٍ التحقّقُ من شهادةٍ عبر صفحة التحقّق.

What we promise, and what we cannot. ما نَعِدُ به، وما لا نستطيع.

We promise our care: scholars qualified in their disciplines, answers given in good faith within their schools of law, and a service we maintain with seriousness. We cannot promise perfection. The service is provided “as is” — the site may go down, a recording may fail, and an answer written for one seeker’s circumstances may not fit another’s. نَعِدُك عنايتَنا: علماءُ مؤهَّلون في تخصّصاتهم، وأجوبةٌ تُبذل بحسن نيّةٍ على مذاهبهم، وخدمةٌ نرعاها بجدّ. ولا نَعِدُ بالكمال. فالخدمة تُقدَّم «كما هي» — قد يتعطّل الموقع، وقد يفشل تسجيل، وقد لا يناسب جوابٌ كُتب لظرف طالبٍ ظرفَ غيرِه.

Religious guidance here is general teaching unless it says otherwise. For a binding ruling on your own circumstances — an inheritance, a divorce, a dispute — take the answer to a qualified local scholar who can hear the whole of your situation. الإرشادُ الدينيّ هنا تعليمٌ عامٌّ ما لم يُصرَّح بغيره. فللحكم الملزِم في شأنك الخاصّ — ميراثٍ أو طلاقٍ أو نزاع — اعرض الجوابَ على عالِمٍ محلّيٍّ مؤهَّلٍ يسمع شأنك كلَّه.

To the fullest extent the law allows, SeekersGuidance and its scholars, staff, and volunteers are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of a free service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us to use the service — which is nothing, because we charge nothing. And nothing in these terms removes a right the law gives you that cannot be waived. وإلى أقصى ما يسمح به القانون، لا يتحمّل سيكرز إرشاد وعلماؤه وعاملوه ومتطوّعوه مسؤوليّةَ الخسائر غير المباشرة الناشئة عن استعمالك خدمةً مجّانيّة. وحيث لا يجوز استبعادُ المسؤوليّة، فهي محدودةٌ بما دفعتَه لنا مقابل الخدمة — وهو لا شيء، لأنّا لا نتقاضى شيئًا. ولا يَنزِع شيءٌ في هذه الشروط حقًّا يمنحك إيّاه القانونُ ولا يصحّ التنازلُ عنه.

Governing law. القانون الحاكم.

If we ever disagree, talk to us first; most things are resolved by a conversation. When these terms change. حين تتغيّر هذه الشروط.

We will change these terms from time to time, and when we do, the new text is posted here with its date. If a change meaningfully affects your rights, we email account holders before it takes effect. سنُغيّر هذه الشروط من وقتٍ لآخر، وعند ذلك يُنشر النصُّ الجديد هنا بتاريخه. وإن مسّ تغييرٌ حقوقَك مسًّا ذا بال، راسلنا أصحابَ الحسابات بالبريد قبل سريانه.

Using the service after a change takes effect means you accept it. If you do not, you can close your account from your account settings; whatever you exported remains yours. واستعمالُك الخدمةَ بعد سريان التغيير قبولٌ به. فإن لم تقبل، فلك إغلاقُ حسابك من إعدادات حسابك؛ وما صدّرتَه يبقى لك.
